Plants arrived smoothly once more - no packaging mess to deal with, super helpful delivery guy, and the greenery is just as lively and robust as the previous ones we've ordered from Garden Plants Online.

"Good Overall Experience"
Plenty easy to order online. I got updates about the delivery and was given a time slot from 11 to 1. By 3, it still hadn’t shown up, and on a Saturday, I couldn’t reach anyone for info, so I had to head out. The trees were dropped off while I was gone and left by my garden gate along the side path. One of the trees had toppled over, but I reckon that was more about the weather than any delivery issues. They seem to be in solid shape and match the description. Just a bummer I couldn’t grab a staking kit when I placed my order.

"Product Quality: 4* | Communication: 1*"
I do a fair amount of online shopping, especially for plants. This was a peculiar experience for a shrub that cost £500.
* The chat went 'silent' when they didn’t want to answer my follow-up.
* An informational email that was promised in a voicemail never arrived.
* They were hesitant to confirm if 'the plant's in the country' - post-Brexit, I’ve learned to ask this since excuses can pop up if paperwork is stuck at the border.
* Payment was through a link in an email instead of the usual checkout on the site - that raised some red flags.
* I didn’t get a receipt or order confirmation until I asked, days after the card payment.
* There’s no online account or order history available.
* The only delivery timeline I got (after asking) was through chat, and it wasn’t confirmed via email.
* They said they’d send an email with a delivery date for Monday and a 2-hour slot.
* No email, no phone call - next thing I knew, the plant was just sitting in my front garden at 5:20 PM, with the driver ready to leave. If I had been out just 10 minutes later, I would’ve had a 100kg plant waiting for me.
* In short, they answered my emails and delivered the product - nothing more, nothing less.
Regarding the plant, it’s 1.70m, which is 5cm short of the advertised height of 1.75-2.0m. On the bright side, it was only a bit late (they promised 'first 2 weeks', and it arrived on the 15th) and came in good shape.
It’s odd because if the product had been listed as 1.70m, I would’ve been fine with it at that price. But the communication issues need a serious overhaul. The website is nice but could use more info about 'who we are and what we do' - I’m still scratching my head about this business. It’s nerve-wracking when your first purchase of £500 isn’t acknowledged - nobody else operates like this. I’d rather pay a bit more at the (excellent) competitors in the UK. They really let themselves down - it just takes a little planning and effort. (Even their responses here on Trustpilot come off as a bit snippy and unprofessional...). I guess they’re more focused on 'trade' than 'retail'.
Rating? 2*? 4*? I’m not sure.
Response to their reply: No, I checked my spam folder multiple times, and there was no email. As for 'I mistyped my email address,' I can’t see how that’s possible since I received several emails from Kirin in sales, and Kirin didn’t ask, 'Didn’t you get the order confirmation? You should have - I’ll check.' The first communication from Kirin was on Friday, January 27, with the payment link, and that was sent to the correct address! I’m afraid your claim that there are 'only two options' is simply incorrect - your systems/process can handle two email addresses, so I got the invoice and payment link along with a promise of delivery details, but nothing else. I’m not complaining - the product is fine, *just* the communication was, for me, lacking.

This yucca plant is a fantastic size and arrived in excellent shape. The price was reasonable for a type I couldn't find around here. The delivery took a while, but I was aware of that when I placed the order since it was clearly mentioned on the form.

The tree I got was just like what was shown on the website. It was packed up really well for shipping and showed up without a scratch or any concerns. "Room for Improvement, Yet Not Too Bad"
Initially, things weren't very professional, but they managed to bounce back.
My first order went smoothly, though it arrived a bit late but still on the day we agreed upon.
However, the second order has been a total hassle. I've been chasing them for a delivery date, the courier didn't show up, and my emails for updates went unanswered. I even called in and was promised a callback, but I'm still waiting.
UPDATE
The company got in touch to set up a new delivery, explaining that their van broke down last week, which is why they couldn't deliver on time. They did manage to deliver on the day we rescheduled, but it wasn't within the timeframe they initially suggested.

"Received my birds of paradise plant again..."
So, I got my birds of paradise plant again in October, but it showed up with all brown leaves and was in pretty rough shape. I sent them some photos, and they told me they'd send a replacement. It arrived yesterday, and let me tell you, it looks way better now! Plus, it was all nicely wrapped up.

There was a week-long delay because of an email issue, but the customer service rep was fantastic and got everything sorted. The trees are top-notch. I’ll definitely be placing another order for my clients.

Had a really good experience. They offered a bunch of choices for trees and found the exact one I was looking for. Prices were also pretty reasonable. The delivery was prompt, and they even called afterward to make sure I was satisfied.

"Consistent Quality, but Delivery Delays"
Just like before, the item was top-notch and I received weekly updates about my order's progress from the supplier to Garden Plants. The only reason I didn’t rate it a full 5 stars is that the delivery times provided on the day weren’t met, arriving a few hours later than expected. But hey, that’s not too shocking considering the traffic and the long haul of about 250 miles from Kent to Co. Durham, plus other stops along the way.
